Fishing training

This page details the optimal training methods for levelling up Fishing.

Tools:

• Fishing rods & Fishing Net – Your main tools to train Fishing

Trinkets:

• Inspiring ring of Fishing – +5% experience boost in Fishing
• Skills necklace – has a 1% multiplier on collecting fish

Armour Slots:

• Angler's hat – Wearing it provides a 10% chance to not deplete a fishing node when catching a fish. Recipe unlocked at level 70 Fishing.
• Mage armour body – as it grants a -50% Stamina Regen Delay for a single piece equipped
• Although it is not mentioned in the table above, the suggested equipment can be replaced by any of their equivalent(s) (e.g., infinity armour = Lunar Garou armour). See Armour for a complete list.
• Leggings of lightness – Increases the player's maximum carry weight by 50 and reduces the amount of fall damage the player takes.

Food, drinks & potions perks:

• Knowledgable Nourishment – Increases the player's experience gain in all skills by 10%
• Focused Fishing – Increases the experience gained when training the Fishing skill by 15%
• Focused Fishing II – Increases the experience gained when training the Fishing skill by 30%
• Perks: Food perks do NOT stack. Eating another food after consuming a different one overrides its perk(s) with the most recent food eaten. Potions behave like this as well; drinking a new potion will immediately overwrite your active potion buff. While players cannot layer multiple foods or multiple potions, one potion + one food perks can be stacked together simultaneously.

To prevent junk catches from depleting net fishing spots, the inventory can be filled with random junk and some small stacks of the targeted fish. This makes any junk catches fail due to lack of space, and the node doesn't get depleted unless actual fish are caught.
