Equipment slots
Armour Slots:
- Ranged armour – Set Bonus: +40% Stealth speed , -33% Ranged Attack Stamina cost, +25% Weak Point Damage
- Although it is not mentioned in the table above, the suggested equipment can be replaced by any of their equivalent(s) (e.g., Blue Dragonhide Coif = Shadow Cowl). See Armour#Ranged_Armour for a complete list.
- Trinkets:
- Amulet of Glory – Increases ranged Critical Damage by 25%
- Amulet of Accuracy – Increased Combat#Weak_spots Damage by 12.5%
- Inspiring Amulet of Ranged – Increases Ranged XP by 5%
- Unholy symbol – Increases damage by 15% at the cost of 15% health points
- Salve amulet* – Preferred over the Unholy Symbol for undead monsters, as it increases damage against them by 17%
- Capes:
- Ava's Accumulator – Increased chance to recover Ranged Ammo. Automatically picks up Ranged Ammo at a larger distance.
- Ranged Cape – Ranged attacks have a small chance at costing no stamina when used.
Resetting Tok-Xil with fast travel
This method involves fast travelling between 2 Tok-Xil spawns, almost killing them from safespots, and then fast travelling to the other one to reset their health. One Tok-Xil can give 1,800 experience in around 50-55 seconds, making it possible to gain up to 120,000 experience per hour. A major downside of doing this method with ranged is that ammo doesn't get returned unless the target is killed, meaning that around 25-30 bolts or arrows are required per cycle. An Unholy Symbol might be the most viable trinket for this method because the only weak spot of a Tok-Xil is on their back, only visible when they do an artillery attack. Sometimes Tok-Xils in the Lava Fields don't immediately spawn after fast travel, making them unreliable for this method. The two near both pyramids are consistent but the one in the destroyed town requires the player to be some distance away before it spawns. One lodestone can be built a medium distance from the Tok-Xil to guarantee it spawns (on top of the big rock), and then another one in the safespot to get into the fight instantly. A safespot consists of a fence and a 2 by 2 elevated platform, with a roof at least 2 tiles above the player to prevent artillery staggers.
